IMPULSE CATENARY SYSTEM HONORED BY WHITE HOUSE IMPulse NC LLC U.S. manufacturer of overhead contact system (catenary) hardware for public transit systems, has been selected by the White House as a Transportation Champion of Change. It recognizes IMPulse for its patentpending automated Catenary Safety Monitoring System, which improves the reliability and safety of commuter and light rail transit systems while reducing maintenance costs. BOMBARDIER, SIEMENS SIGN GERMAN VARIATION ORDER Bombardier Transportation signed a variation order to develop and supply important components for the next generation ICx high-speed trains for Deutsche Bahn per a 2011 agreement with Siemens AG. Bombardier will supply Siemens with, among other components, all the body shells as well as trailer bogies of the new ICx fleet. VSG, STERTIL-KONI SETTLE SUIT Vehicle Service Group (VSG) and StertilKoni USA Inc. agreed to license patented heavy-duty vehicle lift technology to each other. Under the agreements, VSG acknowledges Stertil-Koni's "Device and System for Lifting a Motor Vehicle" patent as it applies to Stertil-Koni's ECOLIFT line of heavy-duty in-ground scissor lifts. In turn, Stertil-Koni acknowledges VSG's "Electronically Controlled Vehicle Lift and Vehicle Service System" patent, which covers 19 diferent elements that relate to computerized lift controls, lift data display and networking lifts together.
