Ariz. agency adds 24 Gillig CNGs The City of Tucson, Ariz. and Sun Tran unveiled the frst of 24 new buses utilizing compressed natural gas (CNG) built by Gillig. Once all are received by January 2015, the buses will replace 14 year-old CNG-fueled vehicles, decreasing the average age of the feet from 5.97 years to 5.02 years. All of the replacement buses are low-foor, ofering ramps and kneeling features for the convenient boarding of passengers with disabilities, as well as an on-board camera system for added passenger safety.
