The 40-foot Axess® bus, designed to be operated with alternative fuels,
has been in production since 2004. Features include an aerodynamically
designed front body and stylized windshield, which provides less wind
noise and wind drag on the bus, according to ElDorado National-California
President Tony Wayne. Development of the vehicle's look was inspired by
futuristic automotive designs, he adds.
"Our company is very flexible in offering different options," Wayne says,
citing multiple door, ramp and seating configurations as recent requests from
customers.
Service applications for the Axess model have included transit, airport,
university and commuter.
