COMTO's president/CEO Cunningham dies Julie Cunningham, president/CEO of the Conference of Minority Transportation Ofcials died in June. Since her 2001 appointment as head of COMTO, Cunningham efectively led the national trade association in unprecedented growth — moving from a single focus of public transit to a focus of multi-modalism, now including aviation, port authorities and state departments of transportation. She also served on President- Elect Barack Obama's Transition Team at the U.S. Department of Transportation and provided expert testimony before the U.S. Congress. Cunningham Thomas Industry veteran Mose retires Hugh A. Mose, long-time GM of the State College, Pa.-based Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA), retired in June. He has served as CATA's GM for the past 19 years. During his time at CATA, Hugh has led the Authority's involvement in numerous initiatives, including the commitment to the use of natural gas as fuel for CATA's buses.
